I do not mind so much Elecraft builders advertising their wares via the list or even directly. What I do not like, although I accept it is an inevitable consequence of belonging to an email list, is getting spam from some organisation or individual hawking something which has nothing to do with the Elecraft range of products.

I got one such from a jewelry outfit recently. I viewed the headers and copied them and the entire message and pasted it into the Spamcop site. Spamcop replied with the address of the address to which complaints of abuse should be addressed. I had the satisfaction of subsequently being informed by that ISP that they had terminated the spammer's account.

It is not often you apparently win against spammers, but it is sweet when you even think that you may have.
