I bought a used one last year and had to take what was inside. Fortunately it was nearly everything except the 2 m option which I don’t miss.
Until now I didn’t use the internal battery option, instead I have an external LiFePo battery. The clock is nice to have though. The KXAT3 is great! I see the difference every time I use the KXPA100 and it’s antenna tuner. The PA’s tuner is not bad, but the KXAT3 could tune a wet tying cord. Another thing: The former owner installed two handles instead of the side plates (I think they are from Windcamp or similar) and a heatsink. This brings advantages as well as drawbacks. The good thing is the additional protection, the bad thing are my fat fingers in tandem with the more narrow space around some of the knobs. Nevertheless I bought a pair of similar handles for the PX3, too, because the two units look nicer on the desk, when I operate both of them together. Only my experiences, YMMV. 73 Hans DF3DD > Am 02.05.2022 um 18:28 schrieb Glen Reid <[email protected]>: > > I am contemplating the purchase of a KX3.
