There is also the conversion I use because I never can remember when and where to add or subtract 32 degrees without thinking about it.

Both scales coincide at -40 degrees, so simply add 40 degrees to the temperature to start with, then multiply by 5/9 or 9/5 depending on whether you are converting to a smaller (F to C) value or a larger (C to F) value. After doing the multiplication, subtract 40 degrees and you are done.
