Hi,

As has often been said the DSP is very good on its own, but I can clearly hear the 1kHz and 250Hz filters as they kick in (I think it's 250Hz).

My filters and logic for choice is:

1.8kHz - SSTV, SSB
1 kHz - wide digital modes and CW browsing,
250Hz - PSK, RTTY, CW.

At the moment I am writing and testing SSTV software - this has been 100% of my spare time for the last three months, so the 1.8kHz filter has been engaged most of the time. When listening to CW I use 1 kHz / 250Hz.

As I do not suffer from strong signals here I rarely use narrow filters in digital modes, but the 250Hz really digs signals out of the noise, I really hear it as I turn the bandwidth down from 300Hz to 250Hz.

Simon, since you wrote the digital program that I am
using and so far think is great, you are the very one
to answer the question that I think Mike is asking.
For Ham Radio Deluxe, Digital Master 780, which filter
do you use the most? If you use others, when and why?
