You don't need any optional filters beyond the 2.7kHz supplied.  The DSP
provides filtering in 50-100Hz steps for all modes.  You can select the
optimum bandwidth filter easily.  However, if you operate a lot in
conditions where there is heavy QRM (strong nearby signals), then having a
crystal roofing filter right at the operating bandwidth to pre-filter and
protect the DSP is often an advantage.  This is something you can decide
later after using the K3 and determining what operating bandwidths you like
and use a lot.

Accordingly, almost all my operating is in heavy QRM, so I really appreciate
the 200 or 250Hz for RTTY, 400 or 500Hz for CW and 1.8kHz for SSB.
