I just ordered a K3/10 and a 1kHz 8 pole filter. I do both SSB and CW, more
CW than SSB, and would like to experiment with digital modes, etc.
Did I make a good choice, or what?
Probably not a bad choice... if you operate in conditions where you'll be in
QRM however, you might want to include the 400Hz filter as well.
I operate both rag chew (1kHz B/W) and DX/contesting, where the more narrow
xtal filter really comes in handy. I seldom crank my B/W down much less than
350Hz, but the 400 Hz CW filter is a BIG help.
I don't have the 1kHz xtal filter, but it's gonna be one of my next purchases,
I think.
