Alexandr.... One of the things that surprised me when I built my K3 is how small it really is. I would think you could do some of the modifications with the 10 watt version if you had the power amp shield installed. The physical room is rather small in the radio once you have it built. So, how small can you get the power supply or how small can you get the transverter?
The second thing I can think about is how does the proposed modification affect the performance of the K3? I have no answer, but would have to be trial and error. The K3 is not like the K2 where modification was ... well ... encouraged. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense.
