as I am waiting for my K3/10 I am thinking about some personal
modifications.
Last night, I completed 80% of the K3 assembly in about 3-1/2 hours.
Although this is not really a "mod," I did replace the two SO-239 coaxial
panel receptacles with Amphenol Teflon types. I am a big proponent of
Amphenol connectors and had a few on-hand.
I will post a link today with a photo showing the change, and also include
the Mouser P/N for anyone wishing to substitute the stock SO-239 with the
higher quality Amphenol type. At only $8 for a pair, it really dresses up
the rear panel. It's a direct replacement and the mounting holes line-up
just fine.
