Good Evening,
Four days with no snow! The last two days have been 60 degrees or higher
with sun. However, the forecast is for snow and freezing rain starting Monday.
I just went out and told my flowers the bad news. One of them was brave
enough to start turning yellow. The others just grew a few inches in the
warmth and sunshine. Hopefully they will survive the coming week.
Twenty meters was very good this week. I had a couple contacts into the
Southeast in the mid-afternoon. It was pleasant to be able to converse for an
hour with a friend of mine. Assuming those properties hold until tomorrow
evening we should have good luck gaining check ins. Cross fingers here. I did
try forty meters a few evenings and was awarded with an answer to my CQ each
time. Things are looking up. I see the second sunspot in cycle 24 may just
form from an active region at high latitude.

Please join us tomorrow evening.
