Shure has made various versions of the 4xx-series mics over the
years, and they publish data sheets for their products on their
website. The 444 is a dynamic mic, and the versions I've seen can be
wired either balanced or unbalanced, switch can be wired various
ways. Check your collection of product data/instruction sheets for
color codes, switch wiring, etc. The 444 should work wonderfully
with a K3. Because it has its own 3 kHz emphasis, you don't need to
add it (or as much) with TXEQ in the K3. I would, however, roll off
some low end (that is, cut the lower three octaves in TXEQ).

The K3 works well with VOX or with PTT. Take your pick.

Is anyone on the list using the Shure 444 desk mic with the K3?-
Can you share some wiring and/or rig setup tips?
