Hi Greg,
Many thanks indeed - setting the TX  DLY to 10 restored the CW to normal 
operation.
I had set TX DLY to 20 to protect the amp antenna relays (open-frame), of which 
we have lost three in two amps during 2008.

I'll install vacuum relays before ARRL SSB.

Set the TX DLY menu item to a lower setting....I found that anything below 10 
worked OK.
