I'm sorry--I thought I said what I meant. A defeat's "defeat-support"
is the number of people who've voted for that defeat. And not voting
A over B, or B over A, shouldn't be counted as voting for A over B
and for B over A.

Yes, that's what I meant to say (but didn't say?), if when you say
"1 point for A", you mean one vote counted for A against B, in
the pairwise comparison of A & B.
