I check the list basically constantly, so I would be willing to act as a
moderator purely for the purpose of spam removal.

Alternately, we could shift to a different system, that has better built in
spam detection, and a higher barrier to entry than just having an email
address...
This would also have the advantage of perhaps a better search function, and
being able to sticky posts, which would reduce some of the redundancy in
this list.
