I do not say that we should not do it.
In fact, me and Bastien have been considering to move from Sourcehut to
Codeberg, after we discovered some peculiarities of how Sourcehut
handles build secrets. However, Codeberg does not provide reliable build
systems and does not even have email support for issue replies, so it is
not clear what would be the benefit.

If we are really concerned about stability of the mirror/repo *URL*, we
can setup redirect rules in orgmode.org that we can adjust as needed,
without trying to use any particular git hosting. In fact, that's more
or less what we do now. Try code.orgmode.org.
