Backporting is hard. In some cases, it basically means rewriting. What is really easy is to just sit and wait for 10.6 to become the old release. We'll just tell the complainers "dude 10.8 is just around the corner. Get updating already." There will be complainers. The same people who want OS X to run on their junkyward PC. There will always be complainers, if only because they must leave their mark. Fortunately, it's OSS, so we can say "You have a point. Let me know when the patch is ready." _______________________________________________ [email protected] mailing list List help: http://lists.ranchero.com/listinfo.cgi/email-init-ranchero.com
