One way to handle this problem on an ongoing basis (albeit not at the
start) is to start with 10.6, then add 10.7 as it comes in, and after
that support the current and the prior (10.8, 10.7; 10.9, 10.8; etc).
That gives people a length and fairly predictable support window, and
if anyone wants to submit patches providing more support, more power
to them.
