Actually, ".us" did exist a long time ago;  before even Claris Em@iler 
was conceived.  In any case that is not the problem.  The problem is a 
"funny" character (see the end of this message) getting inserted 
somewhere (probably, in the Em@iler account set-up).

No need to try magic (I guess to many both AppleScript and Voodoo, would 
fall into that category.  :-)

Just re-enter (carefully) the information in the "Email account" and 
"Email address" fields in the account set-up.  If that does not work, 
then the problem is elsewhere.
