The email following below is forwarded on behalf of a fellow member of
Orange Apple Computer Club (a Mac User Group) who is not a subscriber to
this list. The original posting was to the discussion list of that MUG.
Emailer is refusing to send email from
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
giving this error message:
SMTP server error 550 rejected: syntax error in 'From' header
when scanning for sender: malformed address:
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> may not follow ral
What is the cause of this error? More importantly, what is the cure?
(AppleScript, voodoo?)
My WAG is that Emailer is programmed to "verify" email addresses by
requiring that the data following the first dot to the right of the @
must be from a list contined in Emailer. Of course <.us> did not exist
until long after the finalization of Emailer.
Both I and my fellow MUG member will appreciate any and all assistance.
