Harry: Try reversing the similar names in your address book, e.g. Harry John should be listed in the address book as John, Harry. Leave Harry Johnson as is.
cheers. bevon [EMAIL PROTECTED] deftly typed-- >>One thing I did, that may even be suggested in the manual, is to type a >>"1" in front of the first name entry in my address book for the name of >>someone I write often that this happened with. Now just typing the 1 >>brings it right up. Of course, it also shows in the name field. But it >>works. > >Alicia, > >Yes, that's a handy trick. I have one friend listed with a space in front >of his name, so just typing a space puts his name and address in. > >That is different from the problem I'm still having: typing in a name >that is the beginning of a name in the address book completes that >address book entry no matter what I seem to do. As in Michelle's example: > >I want to send an email to someone not in my address book: Harry John. >There is an address book entry for Harry Johnson. I type Harry John and >it autcompletes. I delete the "son" from the end, and Tab. It inserts the >"son" back in and enters Harry Johnson's address. Even if I then type in >the correct address for Harry John, then go back and delete the "son" >from the end of Harry John, it again completes Harry Johnson and replaces >Harry John's address with that of Harry Johnson. > >Very frustrating, and in all the years I've used Emailer, I don't recall >this happening before. > >Best Regards, > >Harry Corsover ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
