It did change it for me. First it completed the name to match the address
book entry, and even if I delete that (I have no forward delete key on my
iBook, and I've remapped it on my iMac anyway) it insists on
autocompleting it and it changes the address I've already typed in. This
was so frustrating, I almost thought I was using a Microsoft program!

Doesn't work for me. I'll stick with Chris' suggestion of typing in a
space after the typed-in name.
