Someone did this on the PC side at one point. Although, IIRC, it was 
receive only (but I suspect that is enough for most users).

I don't know what happened to the software, but I think the developer 
might have gotten tired of modifying his app to keep up with the ever 
changing web interface for AOL mail.

Now that they have settled down with their web mail interface, it might 
be time to look into such a thing again.
