Appleisp.com does indeed work with Emailer without having to use BatonMail. One MUST collect one's incoming email (POP) first before one sends any email (SMTP). Appleisp has cleverly set its POP server to notify its SMTP server that one is authenticated for smtp purposes for the next 30 minutes or so when one POPs his incoming email. Thus, when I open Emailer, I immediately cause Emailer to collect my email, which then provides me smtp authentication for the next 30 minutes. If one schedules a mail check at least every 30 minutes or so, one is thus continually authenticated for smtp (sending) purposes. Due to spamming issues for ISPs, I also think that Appleisp does require you to use its smtp server and won't let one use any other smtp server (but I'm not certain about that) when using an email client.
I've been with Appleisp for almost two years and think it's great, by the way. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
