I tried Apple Mail.app (Jaguar version), but it was snail-slow after I imported a few hundred MB of emails that I had in Emailer. Oh, and it needed to "figure out" the color of each email EVERY time I opened a folder, resulting in frequent multi-minute delays. I bailed out, and RAN back to Emailer. It's not so bad running Classic mode after all.
I also like the handling of attachments; I can drag it elsewhere, and Emailer keep a link to it. There is also option-double-click to reveal the attachment in the finder. I appreciate that CE does NOT open an html attachment unless I really want that, and in addition, I can use the script "HTML attachment to body", which lets me easily see the html code, but without triggering any web bugs. Oh, and of course the numerous AppleScripted extras are a wonderful thing. Emailer is a powerful tool for heavy email users. Other people won't understand the difference.
