>Let's say I am connected but have a large file downloading endlessly - in >the meantime I compose an outgoing message. Emailer will not let me >"Send Now" as the connection is busy downloading to I press "Queue >Message" and it goes in the Out box. When the download is finished the >queued mail does not go out automatically.
That is correct. Emailer will ONLY process the mail that was queued when the connection started. Therefor, when you queue a message WHILE a connection is going, it does NOT get added into the set, but rather sits waiting until the next connection to be made. What you are seeing here is normal behavior. >The same thing happens whenever I queue messages intentionally - only a >"Send Now" message will go out on the next "Send" - the queued ones >won't and I have to do Command-K and click "Send All Queued Messages" to >make it happen. The Send Now button has a few different abilities based on how the prefs are set (the preferences in "Outgoing Messages" preferences). There are options for what to do when you click the Send Now button. One option will bring up the connect info (thus turning Send Now into the same thing as Command-K), one is to just send that one message (the logical behavior gor a button marked Send Now in my opinion), and one is to send that one message AND collect any waiting email on that account. IF you check the check box for connection settings (the one that turns it into the same thing as Command-K), you will be faced with the regular connect now screen that lists your accounts. You will notice a popup on the top right of that screen. It probably says "Specified message only". Change it to "All Queued Messages". Then it will send the message you are clicking Send Now on AND send all other queued messages on the checked accounts. It sounds like that might be what you are looking for. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
