 Well, all I can say is that in OS 9 the desktop folder is hidden at the 
root of the HD, and in OS X it is not hidden, inside the user home 
folder. You seem to mix together the OS 9 and OS X desktop. The subject 
is OS X as far as I can see form the subject.
