Hi, I have a general query about how to best manage the increasing number of html messages that I'm receiving by email and a specific recent problem. Previously when I'd click to open the html attachment within CE, Internet Explorer (v5.1) would open automatically and I'd be able to view the contents without difficulty. The last couple of html attachments that I've received haven't done this (they were from different sources) and a dialogue box has been opened saying that the program that created them can't be found and that no extensions with "appropriate translators" etc could be found.
These files can't be opened with either Opera (v5.0, my preferred browser), Navigator (v4.08) or MS Office 98 - the icons for these files simply don't show up under these programs, despite ending in .html (as per the previous html enclosures) the files are shown as "documents" rather than "text files". The files can be opened with IE, but only by approaching the icon having already opened the program. Any ideas? In addition to help with this particular gremlin, any thoughts on how to manage html messages in general would be appreciated - is there a simple html reader out there that would act well in combination with CE? Thanks, Mick ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
