Mick, I have (not totally sure, but it may be from the FogCity website) an AppleScript called "HTML to Body and Strip" (no, it's not R-rated! ;-) What it does is take the contents of the HTML attachment and copy them to the body of the email, then uses (Tex-Edit, I think) to strip the brackets and HTML code and leave just the text of the HTML for you. I'm running it under 9.2.2, so if you're under OS X.whatever, you may or may not be able to use it without some changes (in the script and/or version of Tex-Edit). I also believe there is a similar AppleScript (again, under MacOS 9.x) which uses BB Edit Pro (won't work with the Lite version). Of course you wouldn't see the images (if any) inline as in HTML, but it does allow me to read the text. I find most of the HTML stuff that uses lots of images is ads (which my spam filter (mail actions) trashes anyway). But then, with my using dial-up, I'd rather not download an email which has 300MB of images that are secondary to the text - I've set CEmailer to leave any messages with over 200K of attachments on my ISP's server, and I use their Webmail page to see if I really want it before going through a long download. If you'd like a copy of the AScript (the one that uses Tex-Edit), send me a note off-list and I'll send it to you. Or check Fog City's Emailer pages: http://www.fogcity.com/em_utilities2.0.html <- for utilities if you're using v. 2.0+ http://www.fogcity.com/em_utilities.html <- utilities (most of which work with either CEmailer version 1.x or 2.x) HTH, Jim Rohde -This email was sent to you via email in much the same way bricks aren't. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
