Do you still have an extra Emailer Application somewhere? Maybe in the 
trash? Sounds like it's opening the wrong one. I suppose you could just 
make an alias of Emailer, and paste on the Mail icon, if that make you 
happier...  :-) There's more than one way to fix this!
