Well, thank you Dave for a whole new world!

I had no idea that the following was possible.

Once in the Get Info window, however, I noticed that there was a "Select 
New Original" button which I used, so I did not have to perform any new 
tricks.  But I am grateful to know about them (and to be reminded that I 
could have, should have used Show Original (Command-R) to learn to what 
Mail was connected.)
