I also asked this on Mac-L so please ignore the double post. I'm in the process of switching to Verizon DSL, and one of the challenges is that they enforce SMTP AUTH, which it appears Emailer does not handle well.
I've tried many combinations of settings, but am unable to send mail. I have no trouble receiving mail, so I think my settings are correct. I get 553 and 554 errors when sending. I downloaded Emailer Custom Settings and that did not do the trick. Has anyone set up Emailer to work specifically with Verizon's service and can walk me through this, or with SMTP AUTH in general? I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to this, but could easily be mistaken for one. I did download OE 5.0.6 and managed to get it to both send and receive, so I have that as a fallback position and am in fact using it to send this. But I'm on an old 6100 running 8.6 and I'd like to stick with Emailer if at all possible. Thanks, Greg. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
