I don't think so. I've been using it for many years, and it simply moves
a message to the Deleted Mail folder. (2.0v3, USA version)

You've got a point there, but adjusting to it is no more difficult than
moving from a car with the light switch on the dashboard to one with the
light switch on a "wand" on the left side of the steering column.
