Yes, you can upgrade to OS X with what you have. I agree with the Apple rep that you would be better off upgrading to more RAM (beyond the 192 MB you have now). A 256 chip would be nice, more would be nicer. RAM is cheap, buy as much as you can afford (and don't forget, you can probably resell the 64's that you are no longer going to use... you won't get much for them, but if you get $5 each, that's $15 towards the cost of another 256 chip, which will probably only run you $20-$30 anyway... DO NOT buy your RAM from Apple... its very very very very VERY over priced.) >2. Will the G5 support Emailer. In theory, the processor should make no difference to the ability of Emailer to work. Emailer works in Classic under OS X, so if Classic works, Emailer should work. (round about way of saying, yes, the G5 should support Emailer) >3 Does anyone have a comparision report of all the available emailers >that shows features and shortcomings etc. I don't have any links, but the Mac magazines and web sites regularly run reviews of email clients... it seems to be a pretty popular topic... probably because they all seem to suck in one way or another. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
