Emailer won't even launch in Classic so it can perform the import. I
get a Application Launch Failure with a whole scary bit on the
"Application (null)" and shared libraries which sound like a bad
Chinese restaurant <Drop.Fat.App>

I'm coming late to this (sorry, business went to hell, so I've been ignoring much of my email), so maybe this has already been suggested.

Make sure that the folder the Emailer application is stored in is NOT
named "Claris Emailer" or any other name that matches the name of the
Emailer application file.

Just append the world "Folder" to the folder name should ensure that the
name is different.

OS X has a problem opening some Classic apps that carry the same name as
the enclosing folder. I think is has something to do with it getting
confused and thinking it is a package file rather than a folder... or
something like that. I just know its a recommended no no.

Ah Chris. You've always got the best solutions when everyone else just sort of shrugs. Unfortunately, our little iMac that we bought from Mac-Res-Q is once again on the blink (today, no screen), so it's over there being worked on while it's still under warrantee.

I've seen this problem mentioned a lot on the Apple discussion boards, but you are the first one that had a sensible solution.

Thanks.

Christopher
