Prosecute who? The person that was infected? That is who the email is
from (and in many cases, it isn't even "from" them, rather it appears to
be from someone else). I know its a crime to use Windows and Outlook...
but I don't think its a jailable offense.

And if we could put people away for being stupid, well, maybe much of the
world would be a better place (until they up the bar on what's "stupid"
and before you know it, its a crime to not have an IQ of at least 175).

The people that need to be prosecuted are the virus authors. And they do
prosecute them... WHEN they can find them, which tends to be a difficult
task.

>Would teaching all levels through our education system regarding the
>dangers of creating viruses help?

Sure... but I think sex ed and the dangers of unprotected sex and STD's
is a much more important topic. So is gun safety. So is how to drive a
car properly. So is how to earn a living other than robbing the local
7-11.

So far our schools (USA) aren't doing a very good job teaching basic
math, history, science, and other core topics... lets work on those
before we worry about teaching kids that is a bad thing to write a
computer virus.
