 "Internet Configuration application" and the "Internet Control Panel" 
are essentially one and the same thing.  Apple incorporated the Internet 
Config application into the MacOS around OS 8.6, I believe, but they both 
save the same preference file.  Internet Config was this nifty 
shareware/freeware application from "Down Under" which obviously and 
deservedly impressed Apple.
