Remember that you don't have to trash *all* the contents - 
it's usually just a single message that's causing the trouble.  
There could be a lot of good stuff that you'd throw away if 
you trash the whole temp incoming.  You can isolate the 
offending message in the same way you isolated the offending 
component of emailer... remove the contents of the folder and 
replace them a few at a time until the crash returns.  You'll 
be able to narrow it down to the offending message pretty 
quickly.
