Doug is concerned about his ISP blocking legitimate emails and based on what he has said before I think he is correct. Having the ISP mark what they believe is spam and then using a mail action to file that in a Spam folder seems to be a good move.

When he checks and sees that no legitimate emails are in the Spam folder he can simply do a command A and either drag the messages to the Deleted Mail folder where they will be trashed later or he can do what I believe is better.

I use a script that will delete all selected messages and their attachments with one click. The attachments go to the Trash where they can be deleted or left for later. The major benefit of using this script is that the attachments aren't collected in the download folder as orphaned attachments.

PS: I am sending this using Thunderbird which I am trying out as a potential replacement for CE. If you see any problems please let me know.
