Thank you for the FAQ.  I think I can follow it!  :-)

Happily, I've used DSL for years and never seem to use dialup anymore, so 
this is not an issue for me.

Now I'll reveal my OS X ignorance: are .DS_Store visible or invisible?  
Do I have to do something Unixy to make them appear?  But whether I can 
see it or not, in the case of the Temp Incoming folder, all I need to do 
is to make sure it is empty, trash it, quit and restart CE, and I'm set?  
Got it.

I also took note of this tip:
