I have a question that is probably more related to emailing in general
than to CE in particular, but I hope its not too far off topic.

I am an avid freedive (means holding your breath) spearfisherman, and
subscribe to a list devoted to the sport.

My ISP offers a personal web space, and I am trying to use it to post
photos of fish taken by me and my friends. So far, all I have
accomplished is to use Fetch for posting a few photos to the site, with
no html stuff or index, and I just send the url of each individual photo
to the list members so that they can click on it and see the fish. Below
is an example.

ass

The way I see it in my outgoing post, it serves as a hot link. But when I
post it to the list, when my copy of the post comes back to me, the url
has come apart, with a blank line separating some of the characters. Some
subscribers are savvy enough to select (highlight) the entire thing and
then click, but others just place their cursor on the part of the url
that has held together, and then they get "no such page exists."

What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to make sure the url hangs together
in transit? I'll be curious to see how the above url looks when this post
comes back to me.

Thanks for any suggestions. If you think the subject is off topic or so
basic that any fool should how to do this stuff, then reply in private.
