Dual 800Mhz G4 with 768MB RAM certainly is enough for FireFox. The iBook might have been skinny on its 128MB RAM, but it is a brand new 1.4Ghz or so. These have all been clean installs. How many tabs can you load before FF starts crapping out? I am curious... On the iBook last week, we downloaded it, did a google search for something, and I started tab clicking the links to find something.
