I have ASMTP (authenticated SMTP) accounts with two email providers. One is a small company in California, prxy.com. Good guys. They other is with Earthlink. If I am traveling, and not directly connected to my usual ISP (Optonline.net cable modem), naturally they do permit me to send from my usual mail.optonline.net account. In that case, I switch accounts to send from one of my ASMTP accounts. There is no need for me to use dyndns or other complicated methods. Of course you have to pay for the ASMTP account. But if you are traveling, it's worthwhile. You might also check with your current "home" ISP. They might have an ASMTP account setting that you can use. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Roger S.
