I used to delete attachments the same way before I started using the
Shred Messages, and Trash Messages and Attachments Apple Scripts thru
Emailer's Mail Actions.

I simply put an alias of the Downloads Folder into the Systems Apple Menu
Items Folder, so I could instantly select that from the always present
Apple Menu, then select and command delete all, or some of the
attachments it shows, rather than have to go to the desktop, locate my
Communications folder, locate Emailer folder thru there, then double
click to open the actual downloads folder. Saved me a number of steps
this way. Still comes in handy occasionally. There are other ways am not
familiar with, that others mentioned.

Cheers,
Martin Zibulsky
