This is indeed what has happened.
The originators vision is more 'pointed' then mine.
I want to say also I think Jeff's stepconf was a really good
Idea, laid out really well, and exactly what was needed as a first step.
I understand that we don't want to make Stepconf too complicated.
I just think it's a little bit too limited in scope.
So thats just difference of opinion.
I knew I was pushing Jeff's vision a bit. I just didn't like the way it was
handled.
That point has been made- let's moving on now...
Yes I can see that another config program following Stepconf's framework
that would include simple servo systems would be the next logical step.
On a side note, someone mentioned halui mdi commands in stepconf,
so they would not be overwritten when redoing a config.
I would say I would agree with him cause I thought of adding that too,
but was waiting to see how the existing advanced page worked out with
users.
I personally also thought that an option to use TKemc would be helpful,
though that is a bit complicated as TKemc and AXIS have different capabilities.
oh and does EMC have an official mission statement?
