This is what I was talking about as opposed to a full fork of stepconf/emc.  I
meant to suggest building his own configuration UI that is included in the
other tools/UI's.  It can technically be a fork of the stepconf code in
another tool, or he can start from scratch -- what ever you all decide.  I was
simply trying to propose a working solution to his situation.
