Unfortunately, this crap starts at the top. The GPL started because they wanted open code. With linuxCNC, we have open code, but it's not pure enough. That's pure horse hockey in my view. Public domain is better, I think. This is about the 4th time this issue has come up on this project. I don't suppose it really has slowed anything down, but it's an annoyance.
