No I don't think I can run userspace code unmodified in rt-preempt,
but it's not a module either.

 What you need is rt-specific code, but it can be run as a user as
long as the privileges are set properly and priorities.
 The nice part is that it's user space programming :-D ... albeit not
without rt concearns.

 Since I did state that rt-preempt implements POSIX , there are
rt-threads so I don't think there is a problem there, the prefaulting
nd such of stack and memory must be similar ?

 Doesn't HAL use rtapi threads ? ( in this case I really do not
remember, and it might be a case of RTFM on my part ).
