I ask because we are having the problem described here: http://www.linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/forum/9-installing-linuxcnc/19615-cant-boot-ubuntu-1004-after-emc2-install with this motherboard (Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128555 and a Celeron CPU. A technician will test this on Monday, but I wondered if the inability to boot the 2.6.32-122 kernel was directly caused by having the C-state functions enabled in the BIOS.
