Yes basically this is what I meant.
If someone was able to evaluate on the spot then even better.
The point is this person would do their best not to let the patches
float aimlessly - basically a liaison from submitters to devs.

It would be great as a group if we could just do this without a 
'the one' person, but that is always difficult to have happen.

A patch tracker would be interesting - but not sure in what form.
I'm not a fan of the sourceforge bug tracker.
it's just a pain to use, I find. and just another thing a person
needs to sign up to, while not actually bringing the bugs to the
attention of anyone.
