Meanwhile, I've been tinkering with the Supereyes microscope. I've built an adapter that holds it in an R-8 3/4" end mill holder. First discovery is the camera view is tilted way to the side, and I didn't allow enough room for centering the camera. So, I'll have to bore the thing out some more. I have two rings of 3 adjustment setscrews but they have run the camera body against the wall of the hole. Second discovery is that at a focus distance of about 5 mm, if you blow the LinuxCNC screen up to full size, it is just about good enough for centering without zoom.
