Ok, based on what everyone has said, I'm imagining the following interface: * a HAL pin to allow / disallow reverse run * a HAL pin to command reverse /forward direction (with safe state change handled by TP) * adaptive feeds of -1.0 to 0 trigger reverse run at the scaled feed rate (with safe state change handled by TP) * motion commands to switch direction (as implemented now)
